OUR PURPOSE
Our purpose is to empower individuals entrenched in the lower reaches of the housing sector to access quality, bespoke accommodation and person-centred care and support. We will resettle the most vulnerable adults, from disparate backgrounds, marginalised by circumstances, back from the margins to the mainstream. We will achieve this burning ambition by providing them with more than ‘just a roof over their head’, but a level of support that enables them to achieve this transition with resilience and confidence. At Fulwood, we believe it’s all about environment and opportunity. .
about US
Fulwood Housing CIC is a Community Interest Company that provides exempt status accommodation within the Supported Housing sector in Birmingham and the West Midlands Yet, there is so much more to Fulwood Housing CIC. Our people have extensive experience in both the housing and care sectors, with many years under their belt working with the homeless, rough sleepers, refugees and ex-prisoners, amongst others. For us, it’s about engendering better futures for some of society’s most vulnerable individuals, regardless of who they are or where they come from. It’s about providing a safe and secure environment for as long as is needed; and the relevant care, support and guidance, to enable such individuals to take back control of their lives and re-integrate into the community as independent, socially aware citizens. We know that the exempt status accommodation sector in Birmingham and the wider West Midlands, indeed, the whole of the UK, is ripe for reform. Fulwood aim to play an active role in contributing to a better regulated sector, by creating an empathetic, inclusive and welcoming ‘community space’ that delivers discernible social value for all our stakeholders and a model of good practice for the sector.
