Who we are?
Yet,
there is so much more to Fulwood Housing CIC.
Our
people have extensive experience in both the housing and care sectors, with
many years under their belt working with the homeless, rough sleepers, refugees
and ex-prisoners, amongst others.
For
us, it’s about engendering better futures for some of society’s most vulnerable
individuals, regardless of who they are or where they come from.
It’s about providing a safe and
secure environment for as long as is needed; and the relevant care,
support and guidance, to enable such individuals to take back control of their
lives and re-integrate into the community as independent, socially aware
citizens.
We
know that the exempt status accommodation sector in Birmingham and the wider
West Midlands, indeed, the whole of the UK, is ripe for reform.
Fulwood
aim to play an active role in contributing to a better regulated sector, by
creating an empathetic, inclusive and welcoming ‘community space’ that delivers
discernible social value for all our stakeholders and a model of good practice
for the sector.
